JEET BAINS, MSFS, NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT (Forensic Investigation Division)

GENERAL Jeet Bains is a forensic examiner with thirty-two years of diversified experience at the NYPD Laboratory.  Mr. Bains has a Master of Science Degree in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven, Connecticut, and holds certifications in both Arson Investigation and Fire Scene(s).  Mr. Bains has attended several extensive specialized training courses in fire debris analysis offered by the NYPD, the FBI, the ATF, and the NCFS.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: For more than ten years, Mr. Bains has served as a Health and Safety officer for the FID. He established policies and procedures and trained hundreds of employees. He has written the "Right-to-Know” Handbook for Chemists published by the Mayor’s Office of Operations, Citywide Occupational Safety and Health.

Mr. Bains specializes in arson/fire investigation and analysis and has played a major role in most arson/fire investigations and analyses in New York City since 1992. He has conducted over ten thousand significant analyses on fire debris evidence and thousands of law enforcement investigations, including high profile cases such as the World Trade Center bombings, Time Square Bombing of 2010, and the Brooklyn Hate Crime Fire of 2011. President Obama and the NYPD have recognized Mr. Bains for his work. As an expert witness, he has testified in over 100 cases in various New York State and Federal courts.

Gurshaan Bains, Manager Operations/ Client Services:  BS Degree and master's in business management

Gurshaan joined WWFEX as a Manager of operations and client services during the Covid-19 crisis. He has five years of experience as a Strategy & Operations Associate at an extensive accounting and consulting firm. Gurshaan provided client services to WWFEX and Genesis Laboratory Management throughout the pandemic. WWFEX is a subcontractor for Genesis Laboratory Management, where Gurshaan served as a liaison between business and consumer.  He ensures clients receive exceptional service while achieving the business's sales goals. Gurshaan also led the buildout of WWFEX's website.

Our consultants here at WWFEX are active members in various professional organizations including AAFS.  Some of our members hold PhD's and are also board certified Diplomats who have decades of experience in their respective forensic science disciplines.  Published in scientific literature.
